The rules of Parcheesi.

Each player begins with their 4 pieces in their respective homes (Humpback Whale, Ocelot, Hummingbird, and Cotton-top Tamarin). To start, each player rolls the dice; the player who rolls the highest number takes the first turn. From this point on, each player has 3 chances to move their pieces out of their home and onto the starting square, but only by rolling a double (both dice showing the same value). Important: Every time a player rolls a double, they roll again. This applies throughout the entire game. To move the pieces, simply drag them to their destination square, counting the number of spaces shown on the dice. For example: if you are at the starting square and roll a 5 and a 2, you may either move one piece forward 7 spaces, or move one piece 5 spaces and another piece 2 spaces.

If a player rolls three doubles in a row, they may choose one piece to move directly to Heaven (the BR octagon). The game continues this way until one player succeeds in moving all of their pieces to Heaven and is crowned the winner. Players can send opponents’ pieces back home. To do this, they must capture an opponent by landing on the same square. The captured piece is immediately returned to its home and must begin its journey to Heaven all over again. However, if the opponent’s piece is on a safe square or on a starting square, it is protected and cannot be captured.

There is another way to capture: if a player has one or more pieces at home and an opponent’s piece is sitting on their starting square, when the player rolls a double and brings out a piece, the opponent’s “visitor” is automatically sent back home. If a player has the chance to capture but doesn’t, any of the other players may “call them out” and send that piece back home as if it had been captured.
